Work with the Alpheus Group
The Alpheus Group regularly has opportunities for attentive, motivated independent contractors to work as Parliamentary writers. The work consists of monitoring committee meetings on Parliament Hill in person and creating snapshot reports of each meeting to be submitted within hours of the end of each meeting. This contract work offers a great opportunity for individuals looking to broaden their exposure to parliamentary affairs and gain professional writing experience.
Contractors must possess an ability to quickly and efficiently retain and capture information.
Quick note-taking, editing and self-review are essential assets.
Professionalism, flexibility, and willingness to work independently and as part of a team.
An interest in current events, government processes, and Canadian politics will be useful.
A background in Political Science, Journalism, English, or Law is preferred.
